Privacyverklaring

1. Wie is verantwoordelijk?

7. Hoe lang bewaren we je gegevens?

8. Beveiliging

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · last updated 23 October 2026

At Flexela One, privacy is a starting point, not an afterthought. This policy explains in plain language which personal data we process, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

In short
  • We never sell your data and show no advertising.
  • We use no tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.
  • Our database is located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • You decide what is public, can download all your data and delete your account at any time.
  • Your employer can never see your personal messages, connections or World activity.

1. Who is responsible?

(), located at , Chamber of Commerce , is the controller for the processing described in this policy. Privacy questions can be sent to .

  • Organizations see the data you knowingly give them, such as an application, contact request or visit request (name, job title and country). Within a Virtual Office, colleagues see your name, profile and presence. No role in an organization grants access to your personal messages, connections or World activity.
  • Call participants: video and audio calls run directly between participants (peer-to-peer). As a result, participants can technically see each other’s IP address. Flexela does not record calls and stores no video or audio.
  • Flexela staff only have access when needed for support, security or handling reports, and such admin actions are logged.

5. Service providers (processors)

We work with a small number of carefully selected parties. Where they act as processors, we have a data processing agreement in place.

6. Transfers outside the EU

We keep your data in the EU as much as possible. Some service providers are (also) located outside the EU. In those cases we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

7. How long do we keep your data?

  • Account, profile and network: as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, connections, messages and memberships are permanently deleted immediately. Copies in backups disappear automatically within the backup cycle of up to 30 days.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored only hashed, access to data is enforced per user in the database (row-level security), organizations are technically separated from each other and you can enable two-step verification. If we discover a data breach that poses a risk to you, we report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and, where necessary, to you.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access and portability: download all your data in JSON format via Settings → My data.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in your own country.

Flexela One is intended for professionals, not for children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If we find that someone younger has an account, we will delete it.

11. Cookies and browser storage

We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We only store functional data in your browser, such as your sign-in session and language choice. Read more in our cookie policy.
